Harvard Sports and Cultural Club were rewarded for its hard work all season by winning the Championship Division of the T&T Rugby Football Union by beating Trinidad Northerns in the final 29-15 at the Queen’s Park Savannah on Sunday.

MEXICO CITY — Mexico City, home of the Campo Marte athletic grounds, will once again play host to the annual Rugby Americas North (RAN) Sevens tournament on November 25th and 26th, 2017. The international men’s and women’s tournament was last played on the nearly 62 thousand square meter facility in 2014. All Members of RAN, including Associate Members and Regional Development Unions are expected to participate. This year’s international competition is a qualifier for the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization (CACSO) Games, 2018 Hong Kong Sevens, Rugby World Cup Sevens 2018 and Commonwealth Games.

Harvard RFC avoided finishing the 2016 domestic rugby season without a major title in the conventional (15-a-side) game when they claimed the Premier Division Big Four championship on Saturday. They defeated Trinidad Northern 17-10 in the final at the Queen’s Park Savannah.

The Rugby Americas North (RAN), Caribbean Championship will begin for T&T’s senior men’s team tomorrow with a clash against Barbados at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, from 4 pm.

CANADA DEMOLISHED their rivals, in both the women and men’s cup finals, as they took home their respective titles and solidified their domination of the Rugby Americas North Sevens Championship 2016 (RAN 7s), as the event came to a conclusion last evening, at CIC grounds in St Clair.
