Trinidad and Tobago's athletes earned four silver medals on Saturday at the Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC) in Cartagena,Colombia to take T&T's medal haul to twenty-one. This country's previous best was eighteen medals.

In Track and field Sheridan Kirk finished second in the 800m in 1.46.55. Cuba's Andy Gonzales won the gold medal in 1.46.26. T&T's Jamaal James placed a creditable 6th in 1.48.98. The 4 x 400 men's team ran out of their skin to grab silver in an extremely good time of 3.02.65 a time which qualifies them for the World Championship next year. Jamaica won the gold medal setting a new CAC record of 3.01.78. T&T's women's 4 x 400 team placed 4th in 3.39.77 even though the official results reads 6th in 3.50.89. In the Men's 4 x 100, T&T placed 6th in 39.77.

In Table tennis Dexter St. Louis captured the silver medal in the men's singles going under to the # 1 seed Lin Ju 12-10, 11-7, 11-7, 6-11, 11-13, 11-2. Rheann chung exited at the 1/4 final stage losing to Qian Lan in 4 sets (10,9,2,8).

In Taekwondo Chinedum Osuji in the welterweight(78kg) category won silver losing narrowly (2-3) to his Venezuelan opponent.
