Parliament on Wednesday night created history with the passage of legislation to legally declare the pan this country’s national instrument.
Tourism Minister Randall Mitchell piloted The National Musical Instrument Bill, 2024, at the sitting of the House of Representatives, where it was passed with Opposition support.
The bill was yesterday taken to the Senate, where it was also expected to be passed with full support.
