Team Trinidad and Tobago (Team TTO) can not deny that the hospitality in Bragança Paulista, São Paulo has been amazing. Over the past few days, Colegio AZ Bilingüe has been the home for Team TTO’s track and field athletes.

Last evening (July 28) Team TTO extended courtesies to ten (10) families by visiting the homes of students from Colegio AZ Bilingüe for dinner. The experience was great for all the athletes and officials at the camp. Traditional Brazilian dishes were served over conversation with the parents and children. The story behind the selection of Bragança Paulista is an interesting one. Cesar Lemos, a physical education teacher at Colegio AZ Bilingüe contacted a number of countries that he felt would be interested in their Track and Field facilities. Initially, Cesar contacted George Commissiong, Team TTO Athletics Team Manager, to introduce the facilities. George later passed on the information to the TTOC Games Management Committee and the rest is history. The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cy Padmore, Andrea Godoy, Cesar Lemos, Roseli Zago and Carlos Oliveira for ensuring that Team TTO is well taken care of.
