GEORGE COMMISSIONG, assistant chef de mission of the Trinidad and Tobago 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games contingent, commended the team’s commitment and camaraderie when this country returned home on Tuesday night with their best-ever medal haul at the Games.

Trinidad and Tobago's Commonwealth Youth Games athletes were given a rousing heroes' welcome at Piarco on Tuesday night with loud cheers ringing out as they exited the airport following their stellar performance at the Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas which saw T&T walk away with two gold, two silver and a bronze medal.

Trinidad and Tobago's U18 female Beach soccer team wrote their name in local sport history by becoming the first T&T Team sport to win a medal and a Gold medal at a Commonwealth multisport event.

A vibrant bunch returned home on Tuesday night from the Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG) in the Bahamas, with a number of them decorated with medals won at the sixth edition of the event which ended on Sunday.

17 year old Adell Colthurst captured Trinidad and Tobago's first ever Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG) gold medal when he won the boy's U 18 100m at the 6th CYG currently under in Nassau, Bahamas.

The Team TTO girls beach soccer team created double history when they claimed the gold medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Nassau , Bahamas Saturday night.
