Top diplomat hosts emotional meeting of relatives of those deported this month

It is time for sport to turn to more practical ways than biological testing to determine eligibility to compete in elite women’s sports events

The last Sun­day in Jan­u­ary was the T&T In­ter­na­tion­al Marathon (TTIM).

Un­like pre­vi­ous years, the fol­low­ing Mon­day was pain­less. That is sim­ply be­cause, in my fifth marathon in a row, the prepa­ra­tion was much bet­ter. Nat­u­ral­ly, it helped that there was bet­ter sup­port both men­tal­ly and phys­i­cal­ly this time around, un­like pre­vi­ous ef­forts.

As 2019 gears up, there is so much to look forward to in the sport for development space as we reflect on some of the highlights in 2018. In October, The United Nations Human Rights (UNHR) Social Forum in Geneva initiated discussions that have set the tone for sport for development for 2019.
