Faced with growing frustration from athletes and some national committees, the International Olympic Committee said it would decide within four weeks on the Tokyo Games.

TO SAFEGUARD THE HEALTH OF ALL INVOLVED AND TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE CONTAINMENT OF COVID-19, THE EXECUTIVE BOARD (EB) OF THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE (IOC) TODAY ANNOUNCED THAT THE IOC WILL STEP UP ITS SCENARIO-PLANNING FOR THE OLYMPIC GAMES TOKYO 2020. 

WORLD Championship 200-metre finalist Kyle Greaux said he will be in support of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics being postponed, as a number of prior meets have been cancelled which is preventing athletes from preparing for the Games.

Public and athlete support for the 2020 Olympic Games is waning but the IOC still hesitates to make the decision to cancel the mega-event in Tokyo because of the coronavirus pandemic. Investigative reporter Jens Weinreich explains what is going on inside the IOC right now.
