AFTER a brief visit home for the Christmas season, top Team TTO cyclist Nicholas Paul will head back to the World Cycling Centre (WCC) in Switzerland at month’s end to continue his preparation for three major international competitions in 2022.

A special moment. This is how national cyclist Nicholas Paul described his historic performance at the Track Cycling World Championships which concluded on Sunday in Roubaix, France.

Paul targeting Paris from 2022

TEAM TTO’s Nicholas Paul pedalled his way to a historic silver medal at the 2021 Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Roubaix, France, yesterday.

TEAM TTO standout cyclist Nicholas Paul nearly pulled an upset on world champion Harrie Lavreysen in the men’s sprint final, but had to settle for silver at the second round of the UCI Champions League at the Cido Arena in Panevezys, Lithuania, yesterday.

NICHOLAS PAUL ended a 30-year drought when he became Trinidad and Tobago’s first cyclist to grab a world cycling medal after legendary national cyclist Gene Samuel accomplished the feat in 1991.
